The appearance of Ke Zhen'E was around 40 years old when he met Qiu ChuJi for the first time at the Pavilion of the Drunken Immortal. He was blind and he dressed in ragged clothing. His lips were thin and his cheekbones prominent. His face looked gray and seemed full of hate and anger. He's the 1st brother of the Seven Freaks of JiangNan. His martial arts were the best among his brothers and sister. He was blinded by his arch enemies Mei ChaoFeng and Chen XuanFeng (blind by natural cause in the 3rd edition of the novel). As a youngster, Ke Zhen'E used to make a living as street performer doing tricks by spinning bowl on a stick.
Ke Zhen'E was also an expert in using poison. He used virulent poison on his secret projectiles. These secret projectiles had corners on all 4 sides like a diamond, but as sharp anyone could make them. Ke Zhen'E learned to use them after he was blinded because the projectiles were heavy, making it easy for him to be accurate. During a fight, he could easily tell the direction of the smallest of weapons from the sound they made.
