The School of Mount Hua (simplified Chinese: 华山派; traditional Chinese: 華山派; pinyin: Huà Shān Pài)is better known as the HuaShan School. It's renowned for its swordsmanship in Wulin and it's one of the leading orthodox sects or schools in the Jiang Hu. As its name implies, the school is based on Mount Hua in Shaanxi Province. Mount Hua is known as "The Number One Precipitous Mountain Under Heaven" and it is one of the he five sacred mountains in Central Plain. It's called Mount Hua for its five main peaks shaped much like a flower. HuaShan School was founded by Hao DaTong one of the Seven Masters of QuanZhen.

Martial Arts

HuaShan School is famous for its swordplay which emphasized on speed, grace and the Qi. The school was divided into the Sword and Qi factions during their existence in Ming Dynasty era, which focused on swordplay techniques and inner energy cultivation respectively. The apex of the Qi faction's swordsmanship skill was that with Qi, even a blade of grass or a wooden twig is capable of being a sword.
